We are a design-forward, client-driven architecture studio operating at the intersection of form, research, systems, and execution. Our work focusses on conceptual clarity, material exploration, and contextual sensitivities.

We are seeking an Intern Architect or Junior Architect with 4+ years of post-graduate, in-office experience who can move fluidly between design intent and technical delivery. Please note that this position is full time, in office.

Core Capabilities

Design & Communication

  • Strong visual literacy: diagramming, sketching, and mixed-media representation

  • Confident in articulating concepts verbally and graphically

  • Open to critique; able to iterate quickly and thoughtfully

Technical & Delivery

  • Solid understanding of building systems, envelope design, and material assemblies

  • Working knowledge of building science and cost implications

  • Experience producing coordinated, buildable drawing sets

  • Familiarity with specifications, schedules, and project documentation workflows

Project & Process Management

  • Able to structure and maintain project timelines and internal workflows

  • Clear, concise communicator; capable of task delegation and team coordination

  • Experience leading portions of projects independently

Professional Experience

  • 4+ years of professional, in-office experience post-graduation

  • Registered Intern Architect or Architect (or on track)

  • Familiarity with ExAC (recent or in progress)

Technical Proficiency

  • Advanced: AutoCAD, Rhino, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office

  • Working knowledge of Revit (considered an asset)

  • Comfortable within Apple-based workflows (AirDrop, file ecosystems, cross-platform coordination)

Project Delivery Experience

Consultant Coordination

  • Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary teams

  • Ability to review and integrate consultant drawings

  • Familiarity with technical terminology across disciplines

Client & Stakeholder Interface

  • Professional written and verbal communication

  • Experience documenting meetings, tracking decisions, and maintaining project records

  • Comfortable engaging with clients, contractors, and trades

Authorities & Approvals

  • Experience with permit submissions and approval processes

  • Familiarity with Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs)

  • Working knowledge of the Ontario Building Code (OBC), including occupancy classifications and early-stage compliance strategies

Contract Administration

  • Experience with shop drawing review (interiors and millwork minimum)

  • Ability to review and compare bids across trades

  • Familiarity with MasterFormat and UniFormat systems

Specifications & Scheduling

  • Experience assembling project specifications

  • Proficiency with scheduling tools (e.g., Excel, Programa, or InDesign)

  • Understanding of materials, suppliers, and cost considerations

  • Self-directed but highly collaborative

  • Organized, precise, and accountable

  • Invested in both design excellence and technical execution
